Gurdwara Sahib- Pushkar
The shrine commemorating Guru Nanak’s presence was earlier called as Guru Nanak Dharmasala, which was just a single room then, but now it is known as the Gurdwara Singh Sabha or simply Gurdwara Sahib. It is a double- storey building near the bus stand. Pushkar was visited by Guru Nanak Dev during his travels in Rajputana in 1706 and was served by a priest named Chetan Das. The spot consecrated in Guru Nanak’s respect was called Gobind Ghat and later renamed to Gandhi Ghat. A stone slab under a kiosk still has Gobind Ghat inscribed on it, in Gurumukhi, Devanagari, in Persian and Roman scripts. Gurdwara Sahib is a majestic building on the seen on the approach to town.
