Apteshwar Temple- Pushkar
Mahadev temple, as popularly known, is located at the heart of town and is one of the oldest Pushkar temples. The Apteshwar temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, the third of the tripartite with Brahma & Vishnu. With a five-faced idol in white marble, Apteshwar temple is a beautiful complex with highly adorned columns. The five faces are called Sadyojat, Vamdev, Aghor, Tatpurush and Ishan and represent the five elements – Prithvi, Varun, Vayu, Agni and Akash.
