Market Road / Sadar Bazaar- Pushkar
Market Road / Sadar Bazaar in Pushkar creates a complete parikrama (circumambulation) around the lake, which the seasonal pilgrims also take. This street is the heart of this small 20,000+ population town- with the main bazaar, eateries, smaller temples and the dramatic entrances leading to each of the ghats. This was the most prominent location for communities to build their temples that weren’t on the lake. Main Street is a destination for Pushkar shopping and a visual treat with its colourful handicraft, rosewater, macramé, recycled sarees, international foods, and malpua / sweets shops. Menus in Spanish, Hebrew, Italian and more attest to Pushkar’s international popularity.
