The naturally formed Pushkar Lake is a major attraction for visitors and one of the most revered Hindu pilgrimage sites. It is also believed that Brahma, the creator, led to the birth of this lake during his fight with the demon Vajranabha. When he struck the evil with his weapon, a lotus flower, some petals drifted down to earth in three places. One of them landed in here and PushkarLlake came into being.
